- Responsible for site support and tool maintenance services.
- Perform assessments (and qualifications where needed) of mechanical tooling and components.
- Refurbish tooling to ensure it is ready for production use.
- Procure and track components required for refurbishment of assigned tools.
- Attend weekly discipline meetings and provide status updates for scheduled deliverables.
- Prepare documents such as work orders, test procedures, test reports, operation manuals, and change requests.
- Implement and maintain key project support systems (configuration management, document management, and change control systems) for the tooling department.
- Manage change control using the configuration management system, maintain design documentation, and prepare and maintain work plans for design change activities.
- Review OPEX and assess changes to incorporate into future tooling and equipment designs.
- Ensure technical quality of the assigned scope and report potential impacts to technical quality to tool manufacturers and vendors.
- Plan and schedule assigned project activities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on tooling development and maintenance to clients, as required.
- Work shift schedule: days, afternoons, nights.
- Identify potential work scopes and growth opportunities.
- Technologist diploma (Mechanical) or Mechanical Technician certificate or equivalent based on mechanical experience.
- Previous experience with engineered tooling and retube tooling is an asset.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance programs.
- Knowledge of engineering change‑control programs.
- Strong analytical ability and effective decision making.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Situational awareness and effective problem‑solving skills.
- Inter‑personal communication skills.
- Experience with CAD software such as Solid Works is an asset.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
