What is the Opportunity?

Working with our joint venture partner Atkins Realis, Aecon Nuclear has been awarded the definition phase contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to assist in planning the Pickering Retube, Feeder and Boiler replacement (RF ) project. This project involves the refurbishment of four reactors and replacement of the forty eight steam generators at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station.
What You'll Do Here:
Maintain excellent relationships with client, engineers, consultants, and public.Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.Liaise with Feeder and Fuel Channel Superintendents and Forepersons to establish logistical routes and checking at site level.Report logistical planning and risk to Construction Manager and / or Execution Director for dashboard input.Implement Joint Venture and Client policies and project procedures as required.Carry out site surveys, photographs and reports and gathering of information.Schedule and monitor inbound/outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery.Prepare bill of lading, and maintain compliance with MTO regulations.Act as a liaison with site personnel on scheduling of daily deliveries.What You Bring to the Team:
Education to include a technical college diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.Minimum 5 years construction and subcontractor experienceAbility to successfully contribute to a logistical project teamKnowledge of all aspects of construction such as; technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, scheduling and safety requirementsGood communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essentialKnowledge of Microsoft Word and OutlookAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelAbility to read and understand Cost Reports and SchedulesBasic presentation skillsExcellent Interpersonal skills
