Job OverviewJob Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Service Now Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements for IT, HR, and Security Incident Response (SIR) modules, creating user stories, and ensuring adherence to the agile process. This role requires a strong understanding of Service Now capabilities and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, HR, and SIR departments to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements
- Conduct workshops and interviews to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that requirements are clearly articulated and aligned with business objectives
- Write clear and concise user stories with well‑defined acceptance criteria
- Ensure that user stories are understood and agreed upon by both the development team and stakeholders
- Break down high‑level requirements into smaller, actionable pieces
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives
- Work closely with the development team to ensure timely delivery of user stories.
- Collaborate with the product owner to prioritize the backlog and ensure alignment with business goals
- Collaborate with the Service Now development team to design solutions that meet business needs
- Ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with best practices
- Coordinate and participate in testing activities, including the development of test plans and scripts
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, processes, and solutions
- Provide training and support to end‑users as needed
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably with Service Now.
- Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Service Now, particularly in IT, HR, and SIR modules.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience with creating user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Preferred Qualifications:
Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS). - Experience with Service Now Agile 2.0.
