About the Programme

Our 2‑year Apprenticeship is designed to develop practical skills that directly impact the operation of one of the UK’s most advanced engineering sites. You’ll apply Lean, Six Sigma and project management principles to analyse problems, map processes and deliver measurable results. Working across production, planning, logistics and project support, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Identify inefficiencies and develop sustainable solutions that enhance performance.
  • Apply lean and Six Sigma methodologies, conduct root‑cause analysis, and use data to support decision‑making.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with colleagues to generate and implement improvements.
  • Collect and interpret data, map processes and produce clear documentation of findings.
  • Support the implementation of improvement projects and monitor outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Mathematics and English, plus one of the following:
    • Three A‑level subjects at Grade C or above
    • BTEC Diploma (Pass)
    • Access to HE Diploma (30 Level 3 credits at Merit)
    • IB Diploma (Pass)
    • Partial T‑Level (equivalent to 3 full A‑levels)
  • Valid passport or UK driving licence (provisional or full).
  • Baseline Personnel Security Standard and Security Check clearance.
