We're looking for a Construction Training Coordinator to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team based in Plymouth. KierBAM is a Joint Venture between Kier and BAM Nuttall, currently delivering a major redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth.
Due to the sensitive nature of the site,
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required
. The process may take up to 8 weeks.
Eligibility Criteria
:
Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.
Location:
Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth.
Hours:
42.5 hours per week.
Contract:
12‑month fixed‑term contract (maternity cover). No sponsorship available.
- Coordinate and schedule construction related training, including internal and external courses, training, and workshops. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and collect feedback from site teams.
- Assist in developing training materials and programmes specific to construction and engineering operations, such as health & safety modules, trade‑specific training, and competency development pathways.
- Maintain accurate training records, including all certifications, competencies, course attendance records, CSCS/CPCS cards, and be responsible for completing site SQEP assurance checks, providing support, advice, and guidance to progression pathways.
- Liaise with site management, supervisors, trainers, and workforce teams to ensure mandatory and project‑specific training needs are identified and delivered on time.
- Support the rollout of a new digital system and Kier Learn platform, ensuring site teams can access e‑learning materials and compliance modules and act as the point of contact to approve SQEP data.
- Construction experience or background with knowledge of CITB, CSCS/CPCS and construction related qualifications.
- Experience with construction related pathways, e.g., apprenticeships, graduate programmes.
- Prior experience and qualifications in training coordination, HR, or learning and development is preferred.
- Able to work collaboratively and manage multiple stakeholders.
