Salaried GP

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 6-8 session Salaried GP, with a view to partnership, to join our well established, hardworking, and dedicated team.

Perfectly located in one of Europes most vibrant waterfront cities, Southway Surgery is situated in Plymouth, Britains ocean city. Located by a stunning waterfront and harbour, Plymouth boasts dazzling views and a rich history, alongside a wealth of independent shops, galleries, and restaurants. This combination gives Plymouth a metropolitan feel.

Devon is a stunning county of great contrasts, with two beautiful coastlines, two national parks and five official Areas of Outstanding Beauty right on our doorstep. It also has excellent transport links and schools. There is a huge amount to offer families and those with a love of the great outdoors.

Southway Surgery is a purpose built, forward-thinking GMS practice caring for 6000 patients with a varied demographic. We are proud of our dedicated multidisciplinary approach to patient care and have a fantastic relationship with our local pharmacies, businesses, and MP. Due to our size, there is a real emphasis on personal care and traditional family doctor values. Due to the combined efforts of our excellent clinical and admin teams we were rated good in our recent CQC inspection.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic GP who has the commitment and passion to drive efficiencies and quality of care for our patients. As a teaching practice, we are affiliated with Plymouth University and work in alliance with other surgeries in the area. The weekly expectations would be proportional involvement in the on-call rota at the practice alongside face-to-face surgeries;

we are flexible regarding sessions / days and offer a competitive remuneration package in line with the BMA model contract. Indemnity is provided by the practice via a group scheme with the MDDUS.
