Engineering Sub Agent, Civil Engineering

We are looking to appoint an experienced Sub Agent to join a highly respected, tier-one civil engineering contractor on a long-term freelance basis at Plymouth Dockyard.

You will be joining a supportive and well-established team, working for a business renowned for looking after its people and delivering complex, high-quality infrastructure projects.

The contractor has recently secured a significant additional scope of works as part of a four-year, £750 million framework with the UK MOD s Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA), delivering critical infrastructure to support and sustain the UK s submarine fleet for decades to come.

The Role This is a fully site-based position, working across multiple schemes with individual project values ranging from £500k to £30m, including:

• Large civil engineering structures
• Concrete repairs and maintenance
• Marine-based civil engineering works

Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for projects from award through to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing site teams, including Engineers, Foremen and Quantity Surveyors
• Coordinating and managing specialist subcontractors
• Short-term planning and programme delivery
• Leading client progress meetings
• Liaising with engineering and design teams
• Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and compliance on site
