In this role, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure the site complies with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability legislation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist management in implementing and maintaining the standards required of the health and safety at work act, and all other codes of practice and relevant standards.
Act as the key contact and facilitator for external visits and audits from relevant agencies
Establish appropriate processes and controls to ensure that the site will maintain ISO
14001 certified
Carry out risk assessments on assembly equipment new and old, ensuring that the safety and wellbeing is not compromised
Create COSHH Risk assessments and maintain the sites COSHH Risk Assessment database
Identify any needs to carry out Health and Safety training across the site.
Candidate requirements - skills and experience:
NEBOSH, IOSH or NVQ H&S qualification or equivalent experience is essential
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Engineering qualification would be an advantage
Project management and / or team leadership experience would be an advantage
