Financial Planner | Plymouth / Hybrid | £80,000 basic salary + Bonus

I'm representing a leading independent financial planning and investment management group who are looking for an experienced Financial Planner to join their team in Plymouth.

With a focus on quality advice and client outcomes, the role is ideal for a professional who values long-term relationship building, high standards of service, and ethical financial advice.

You’ll be supported by a collaborative, client-focused culture, and equipped with the tools, infrastructure, and team to help you grow professionally while delivering tailored financial solutions.

The Role

This is a client-facing position suited for a qualified Financial Planner who is confident in providing personalised advice across pensions, investments, and trust planning. You will manage client relationships with professionalism and care, while also helping to identify new business opportunities, especially through professional introducers such as accountants and solicitors.

This position comes with an existing client bank of £30–40 million AUM, which will be made up of 80–100 households, averaging £250–300k per client. The bonus structure is based has no validation threshold. Eg an adviser generating £60k in new business fees would earn an £11k bonus, while someone writing £100k would earn £22k - there is no cap on earnings.

Requirements
  • Chartered status (or working towards) preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience delivering investment and pension advice
  • Experience with Intelligent Office (IO) is an advantage
  • Highly organised, IT literate, and capable of managing workload independently
  • Strong communication skills and business development capabilities
  • Self-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • 25 days holiday (plus 1 day per year of service, up to 30) + Bank Holidays
