Senior Credit Controller - Plymouth - £35,000-£40,000 Butler Rose - Recruiting for a leading South West employer

I am working exclusively with a well-established Plymouth-based organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships and providing insightful reporting that supports commercial decision-making.

In this senior role, you will take ownership of the company's credit control function, with a particular focus on:

• Building and maintaining effective relationships with key customers to ensure timely payment and resolve queries in a professional manner.
• Acting as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring credit risk is managed responsibly and collaboratively.
• Producing detailed aged debt reports and providing regular updates to senior management.
• Delivering analysis that highlights trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members, setting the standard for best practice in credit management.

We are looking for a confident and proactive Credit Controller with:

• Demonstrable experience in senior or supervisory credit control roles.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence both customers and colleagues.
• A detail-focused approach to reporting and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
• A solutions-driven mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

• Salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience.
• A supportive and collaborative finance team environment.
