Temporary General Ledger Accountant
Location: Plymouth
Pay: £15‑£18 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary

Butler Rose is currently recruiting for a Temporary General Ledger Accountant to support one of our clients in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is confident running month‑end close procedures and can hit the ground running in a busy finance function.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and timely completion of the month‑end process. This is a hands‑on role, suited to someone who is comfortable working with minimal supervision.

• Running and owning month‑end procedures end to end
• Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations and review
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy
• Assisting with management accounts preparation
• Supporting the wider finance team as required

• Proven experience in a General Ledger or month‑end focused accounting role
• Strong understanding of month‑end close processes
• Confident with reconciliations and journal postings
• Available at short notice or immediately
• Comfortable working in a temporary assignment environment

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £15‑£18 per hour and the chance to work with a reputable organisation through Butler Rose.
