We are an elective surgical centre providing arthroplasty surgery, orthopaedics, general surgery, endoscopy and cataract surgery.

The clinical departments include Outpatients, Day Surgery Unit, 30-bed Inpatient Ward, 4 Theatres, Endoscopy suite, Radiography, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy, with care provided by a multidisciplinary team.

About the role

Endoscopy Lead Nurse, full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Shift pattern: 4 days a week 07:30 – 17:30 (fixed days Wednesday and Thursday). Salary £46,916.66 per year.

What you’ll be doing

The endoscopy lead nurse will provide clinical leadership to the endoscopy service to oversee governance, ensure clinical effectiveness and productivity, and support the whole clinical pathway for endoscopy patients. The role includes providing appropriate clinical guidance and acting as the subject‑matter expert in endoscopy to meet Practice Plus Group Hospital (PPG) policy and external regulatory standards, including the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) Accreditation process.

The lead will also ensure a prominent training agenda in the department, working with the training lead, particularly in services providing endoscopy training. Central to the role is ensuring patient safety is at the heart of all processes within the service.

What we’ll look for in you
  • NMC Registered Nurse Part 1
  • Relevant experience as an Endoscopy Registered Nurse
  • Demonstrates knowledge of change management
  • Organisational and management skills within a team
  • Health & Safety – Risk Assessments and management [IOSH or CIEH]
  • COSHH assessments and risk management
  • Management and understanding of water quality in Decon
  • British Society of Gastroenterology Associate membership
  • Completion of Breaking Bad News course and Fire Warden training
