Domiciliary Optical Assistant

Ready to take your skills on the road? As a home visits optical assistant at Specsavers, you can do just that. You’ll be driving our services to the doorsteps of the nation, providing eye care to people who can’t come into our stores. In addition to eye care, you’ll help patients with basic tasks they cannot perform on their own, bringing smiles and clinical care to the heart of our community.

Our business is based in the Plymouth area; you’ll cover the Plymouth, Torbay or Tavistock territory, providing care to vulnerable patients. Our team has a wonderful existing group of people from optical and administrative backgrounds who are ready and waiting for you to join them.

• Provide eye care services to patients in the community.
• Support patients with basic tasks they cannot do without assistance.
• Drive and cover the Plymouth, Torbay or Tavistock territory.

• Previous optical experience.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a fast‑paced customer‑facing environment.
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical.
• Confidence using new systems, tablets and/or laptops.

• £12.41 per hour.
• Monday to Friday – core hours 8.30am to 5.30pm (flexibility required).
