The role is working as a face-to-face charity fundraiser on behalf of Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW). At Childrens Hospice South West (CHSW) we help and support children, young people and their families who are living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Every day is dedicated to making the most of every moment. Because life is unpredictable, we are here day and night, all year long - whenever we are needed. CHSW is the only childrens hospice in the South West. Our services are free to families who need us because we believe that nothing should get in the way of very sick children receiving the very best care.
Children's Hospice South West provides care for over 500 families in the South West. This care is delivered through three hospices, which are centres of excellence, and through outreach in the community. Find out more about Childrens Hospice South West here: It costs around £11 million to run the 3 hospices each year and we rely almost entirely on voluntary contributions.
So, with little government funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to deliver our promise to make the most of short and precious lives across the South West. You can be a vital part of helping Childrens Hospice South West raise the money that it needs to be able to support local families. What is the job? The role is fundraising as a 3rd party agent, employed by The Fundraising Partnership, representing and fundraising on behalf of Childrens Hospice South West.
Your job will be to find more people to support us with a small regular donation and you do this by talking to local people at their homes, being friendly, explaining what Childrens Hospice South West does, and asking them to become a regular supporter via the Childrens Hospice South West Lottery programme. So you would be doing a job where after 5 years of work, through your professionalism, integrity, and hard work you could raise more than £2 million for charities that deal, quite literally, in matters of life and death.
