HGV Class 2 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT

C) to join the team.

Shifts : 40 hours a week across Monday to Sunday.

• Days.
• Nights.

Hours :

• Days- 04 : 00am - 05 : 00am starts through week, Sunday is 11am - 12pm starts.
• Nights- 01 : 30am start.

Pay Rate :

• Days- £14.60 per hour PAYE.
• Nights- £15.61 per hour PAYE.

Job Type :
Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent.

• Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
• Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
• Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
• Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category
  
  C).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
