• Design, analyze, and develop structural components and mechanisms for aerospace vehicles and systems.
• Perform detailed stress, strain, fatigue, vibration, and thermal analysis using FEA tools (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS).
• Select appropriate aerospace-grade materials and manufacturing processes based on performance requirements.
• Develop detailed CAD models and drawings using industry-standard software (e.g., CATIA, Solid Works).
• Design and analyze mechanisms, including actuators, gears, linkages, and deployment systems.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, avionics engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Develop and execute test plans for structural components and mechanisms, including static, dynamic, and environmental testing.
• Analyze test results and implement design modifications to meet performance and reliability goals.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design reports, analysis summaries, and test procedures.
• Ensure designs comply with stringent aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Polokwane, Limpopo .

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in aerospace structures and/or mechanisms design and analysis.
• Proven proficiency with CAD software (CATIA, Solid Works, etc.) and advanced FEA tools (NASTRAN, ANSYS, etc.).
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and failure modes.
• Experience with mechanism design, kinematics, and dynamic analysis.
• Knowledge of aerospace testing procedures and data interpretation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• Experience working in a highly regulated aerospace environment.
