PQC Team Manager
Temporary 6‑month opportunity at Next, based at our Elmsall warehouse in Pontefract.
Shift PatternWeek 1:
Wed‑Sat 18:00‑06:00
Week 2:
Thu‑Sat 18:00‑06:00
£16.52‑£17.81 p/h depending on experience

The PQC Team Manager is responsible for:
- Leading and developing a team of ~25 PQC inspectors and operators
- Ensuring that products are quality inspected upon arrival and contracts are passed within timely deadlines
- Resolving supplier errors – replacing labels, repacking, quality inspecting items, and maintaining high customer‑service standards
- Monitoring team performance, absence, productivity, and error rates, and taking corrective action as needed
- Training and developing team members to meet efficiency targets
- Acting independently and making operational decisions, with occasional support and coverage at other sites
- Keeping colleagues motivated and maintaining a fun, fair, and rewarding work environment
- Experience managing a team in a quality or warehousing environment
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Problem‑solving aptitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
- Proficiency with Google Suite
- Positive, flexible, and can‑do attitude
