Temporary 6‑month opportunity at Next, based at our Elmsall warehouse in Pontefract.

Wed‑Sat 18:00‑06:00
Week 2:
Thu‑Sat 18:00‑06:00

£16.52‑£17.81 p/h depending on experience

The PQC Team Manager is responsible for:

• Leading and developing a team of ~25 PQC inspectors and operators
• Ensuring that products are quality inspected upon arrival and contracts are passed within timely deadlines
• Resolving supplier errors – replacing labels, repacking, quality inspecting items, and maintaining high customer‑service standards
• Monitoring team performance, absence, productivity, and error rates, and taking corrective action as needed
• Training and developing team members to meet efficiency targets
• Acting independently and making operational decisions, with occasional support and coverage at other sites
• Keeping colleagues motivated and maintaining a fun, fair, and rewarding work environment

• Experience managing a team in a quality or warehousing environment
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
• Problem‑solving aptitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
• Proficiency with Google Suite
• Positive, flexible, and can‑do attitude
