Team Administrator – Dorset Health Care University NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a Team Administrator to support our Facilities Team in delivering a high-quality service across our organisation. The role is based at Alderney Hospital, Poole, with occasional travel to St Ann’s Hospital. This is a full‑time position (Monday to Friday) and part‑time applications (minimum 30 hours over 4 days) are welcome. Flexible shift times and hybrid working arrangements are available, with some office‑based days required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide an efficient, timely filing system for both paper and electronic records, including archiving.
  • Assist with the induction and training of new staff members.
  • Organise and prioritise routine and non‑routine workloads, liaising and communicating with colleagues to maintain a team approach.
  • Contribute to the development, organisation and implementation of new office procedures and improvements to the service.
  • Undertake any other duties as advised by the Admin Co‑ordinator and team managers.
Requirements
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in finance‑related tasks such as processing orders and invoices.
  • Proficient in IT, including databases and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of taking and transcribing meeting minutes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Full, clean driving licence and own transport for independent travel between sites within the Trust.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (applications requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible).
  • Employment requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of; applicants with a valid DBS certificate may present it instead of a new check.
Employment type

Full‑time (Monday to Friday). Part‑time (minimum 30 hours over 4 days) is also available and will be discussed at interview.
