About the roleThe timetabling team is seeking to appoint a highly organised, outward thinking, timetabling administrator who is self‑motivated and dedicated to delivering high standards of customer service on a full‑time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver, an innovative thinker, and possess the ability to stay calm in an ever‑changing climate. They will have to work as part of the team responsible to produce a timely and accurate University timetable, ensuring it is student focused and uses the estate efficiently. Day‑to‑day activities will include handling academic scheduling and ad‑hoc room booking enquiries via inbox, phone or face‑to‑face and accurate data entry into our timetabling software.
The candidate will have a collaborative and flexible approach, and will be working with colleagues from across the University. The post requires the candidate to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills along with great interpersonal skills. It also requires strong organisational and problem‑solving skills to handle strict deadlines and variety of challenges that may arise along the way.
Experience in working with databases and Microsoft office is essential. Candidates will need to have a Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience.
