The closing date is 30 November 2025

Our friendly District Nursing team in the Rosemary Road team in the Poole central locality are looking for a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse to join the team as a permanent post – full time 37.5 hours a week, including weekends and late shift cover. Applicants can be newly qualified or experienced, and full training and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide a high standard of nursing care to people in their own homes.

We would welcome applications from newly qualified nurses and provide a very comprehensive and fully supported Preceptorship Programme for newly qualified healthcare professionals.

The successful individual must be able to drive and have access to a car.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Applications from candidates that require current skilled worker sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.

This is a fixed‑term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Main duties of the job

The role includes wound care, palliative care, IV drug administration, medication/injection administration, diabetes management and many other diverse skills.

We have both full and part‑time vacancies available. There will be an expectation for the successful candidates to work weekends, late shifts and bank holidays pro‑rata. Our late shift covers until 8pm.

With excellent links to local universities, the training and development we are able to offer is first class, allowing rapid up‑skilling and support with new skills. Newly qualified staff will have access to a preceptorship programme and a specific clinical up‑skilling programme to support their transition from student to RGN.
