Part‑Time: 25–30 Hours Per Week (Ideally Monday – Thursday, 10:00–16:30 but will offer flexibility for the right candidate)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Nurse Manager to join our friendly, forward‑looking practice team. Our clinical team currently includes 5 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and 1 Phlebotomist, all committed to delivering excellent patient‑centred care.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed ANP with leadership skills to influence service delivery and shape the ongoing development of our nursing team.
Main duties of the jobAs an ANP/Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality clinical care while also providing leadership and direction to our nursing team. The ideal candidate will have recent Primary Care experience, be highly adaptable, motivated, and ready to embrace new challenges within a supportive environment.
Essential Qualifications & Experience- Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Independent/Supplementary Nurse Prescriber
- Advanced clinical assessment skills, including:
- Clinical examination
- Diagnosis and clinical decision‑making
- Initiating and evaluating programmes of care
In addition to clinical duties, this role includes responsibility for leading and developing the nursing team. This will include:
- Providing clinical leadership, mentoring and supporting nursing staff to ensure high standards of care
- Overseeing workload management, ensuring safe skill‑mix and effective allocation of nursing resources
- Leading on clinical governance, including audits, quality improvement projects and development of evidence‑based practice
- Fostering a positive, collaborative and progressive team culture

Job Summary
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will act autonomously within their professional scope of practice providing care for patients presenting with minor and acute illness and injury, working with the GPs to support same‑day demand and acute care needs of the patients. This will be via face to face, video, telephone and e‑consultations.
The postholder will operate within their own sphere of competence and agreed acceptable limits of practice to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
The postholder will use skills, knowledge and competencies as a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in order to be responsible and accountable for managing patient caseloads for treatments, referral, admission and discharging patients as appropriate.
As the Nurse Manager, the post holder is accountable for nursing service delivery.
