Site Engineer
Laing O'Rourke / Expanded are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work on our substation project in Margam, Port Talbot, Wales. This project supports green steel production and local jobs by delivering vital network upgrade works for National Grid.
Role & Responsibilities- Setting out, understanding of equipment limitations and methods
- Interpret as-built information
- Provide guidance to less experienced staff
- Complete QA documentation and record keeping
- Implement ITP requirements
- Production of method statements or understanding of how they are produced
- Understand temporary works and, if applicable, take on the role of a Temporary Works Coordinator (certification not required)
- Understand materials and plant including call‑off schedules
- Aware of site HS&E procedures
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years of UK experience working on infrastructure projects
- Eligible to work in the UK / valid UK visa (this role will not provide sponsorship)
- Valid UK driving licence and vehicle
