Rate: £25 - £32 per hour
Working hours: Monday – Friday
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential pharmaceutical services within a prison setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to inmates, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medications
- Managing pharmaceutical stock
- Maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care
- Providing advice and support to inmates regarding their medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments
- Conducting medication reviews
- Participating in health promotion activities within the prison
Qualifications and Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a prison or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
