Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Hexwired has partnered with a company who are a leading company in the defence industry. They are looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing and integrating electrical systems. Although you will be working in a team you should be able to work under your own steam.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience gained in industry.
• Strong proficiency with electrical design tools (such as AutoCAD) and a comprehensive understanding of electrical principles and marine systems.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable marine electrical standards.
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with experience resolving complex engineering challenges in autonomous or advanced marine systems.
• Familiarity with communication networks and protocols commonly used in autonomous vessels, including Ethernet, CAN bus, and NMEA 2000.
