Salary:  Starting from £22,500 with annual progression through the scheme duration

What you’ll be doing :

• Writing quality code for plugins and to implement new features on test harnesses.

• Assisting with the creation of deployment guide documents for the systems

• Factory acceptance testing of software systems

• Equipment setup for development and deployment

• Research into software solutions that could be used for projects

• Agile development process using Jira to progress through projects

• On ship deployment of software systems for real life use

What Qualification will you get?

By the end of the apprenticeship, you will obtain:

• BSc (Honours) in Digital and Technology Solutions, with a specialism in Software Engineering

• At the end of the apprenticeship you will obtain a nationally recognised Apprenticeship Completion Certificate

Export Control/Security:

Please be aware that many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. Qualification requirements

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:

3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject

OR

An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
