Systems Accountant – Financial Services

Systems Accountants is partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation to source a talented

Systems Accountant to join their Group Consolidations and Reporting team.

This newly created role offers a unique blend ofhands-on systems work,month-end and year-end responsibilities, and project-based reporting initiatives. You’ll work alongside an experienced Systems Accountant and report directly to the Group Financial Controller, gaining exposure to group-level financial processes in a complex international environment.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead monthly group consolidations using
  
  Cognos Controller
• Manage ledger operations, FX rate loading, and group-level journal postings
• Support internal reporting and year-end audit processes
• Provide Level 2 systems support and liaise with external IT providers
• Maintain user access and onboarding/offboarding processes
• Extract and reconcile data from ERP systems (Infor Sun Systems or similar)
• Automate reporting tasks using
  
  Excel VBAand build templates for recurring and ad hoc reports

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience with Cognos Controller in a group finance setting
• Strong understanding ofmonth-end close,consolidation, and intercompany processes
• Experience with ERP platforms such as Infor Sun Systems,Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
• Advanced Excel skills, including
  
  VBA macro development
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
