Network Engineer

Amour Recruitment is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our leading IT client, based in Hampshire.

This is a temporary to permanent position, that requires a confident professional with a strong background in structured cabling (copper, fibre, or fibre optic cabling) and practical experience in rack and stack or hardware installation within data centres.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and implementing complex communications infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the client’s data centre operations, working within a team dedicated to delivering excellence in technical support and engineering tasks.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct Site Surveys, confirming IT locations, measuring cable routes and device connections.

* Installing and Building Infrastructure, including cabling, racking, fibre patching, ensuring clear labelling and documentation.

* Design support, through survey reviews, space planning, equipment validation, and design drawings.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3rd line technical support experience within a data centre or networking environment.

* Proven knowledge of structured cabling, including copper and fibre cabling is essential.

* Experience with rack and stack procedures, hardware installation, and equipment setup is desired.

* Strong understanding of data centre environments and infrastructure management.

* A full UK Driving License is preferred.

* Candidates will need to be able to work flexibly, with occasional overnight stays as part of their role.

Salary: £200-£250 Day Rate, equivalent of £52,000-£65,00 Salary

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:30
