Production Technician
Fareham, Hampshire
£28-31k + Shift Allowance + Excellent Benefits
Two shifts available - 6-2 and 2-10
37.5 hour working week
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality products, maintaining accurate records, following standard operating procedures, and contributing to a safe and professional working environment.
We are looking for someone who not only has the technical skills but also brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a genuine desire to learn and improve. Flexibility, adaptability, and reliability are key qualities for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Produce products to high-quality standards, ensuring accuracy in all records and processes.
- Follow and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), while suggesting improvements where possible.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, actively promoting safe working practices.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and HSE-compliant using 5S principles.
- Assist other departments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Operate workshop equipment safely, including band and circular saws, grinders, and sanders.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities.
- Team player who communicates effectively and contributes to a supportive work environment.
- Ability to manage your own time efficiently and maintain focus under pressure.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Excellent PC skills, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Able to use manual measuring equipment.
- Experience in automated production or low volume/high-value manufacturing is desirable.
- Knowledge of composite materials or modern manufacturing techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience with HMI technology would be a bonus.
