From our commitment to zero-carbon flight () to ,We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our innovative team at AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of cutting-edge software solutions for critical defence and space applications.
** HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
*** Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality software applications and systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
* Participate in the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and support.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to established coding standards and best practices.
* Perform code reviews to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to design specifications.
* Debug and troubleshoot software issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to defence and space software development.
* Assist in the creation of technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and test plans.
** ABOUT YOU
*** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Proven experience in software development, preferably within a professional environment.
* Strong experience with Java (17+),
* Experience with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Understanding of software testing principles and experience with unit and integration testing.
