Trainee Lifeguard

About the Role

Our trainee lifeguards are on hand to ensure guests are having a great time and staying safe in the pool, rapids and flumes of Splash Waterworld. Guest safety is our biggest priority, so the role requires superb attention to detail while interacting with guests and providing exceptional customer service. You will promote and run poolside activities, creating memorable experiences for our guests.

We will train you through our NPLQ course, even if you already hold a lifeguard qualification.

Typical working hours: 35 hours per week with a variety of shifts, three days a week of importance (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). During big weekender breaks you may be required to support our Bars department.

Open 7 days a week—flexibility, reliability and punctuality essential.

Live‑in accommodation may be available for those over 18 who relocate to the area.

• Monitor pool, rapids and flumes to ensure safety.
• Run poolside activities and engage guests.
• Respond to incidents and provide first‑aid as necessary.
• Support Bars department during weekender breaks.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Strong swimmer with excellent attention to detail.
• Natural ability to engage and relate with a wide range of people.
• Age 18 or older.
• Willingness to complete NPLQ training (fully funded).
• Flexible schedule; reliable and punctual.
• Team player, able to supervise independently when necessary.
