Logistics Operative

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Logistics Operative to join a busy warehouse and logistics team based in Portsmouth.

You will be supporting with Goods-In, Despatch, customer asset collections, van driving (drivers licence required), and general warehouse operations

This is a hands-on role offering a salary of £26,000 per annum for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities for the Logistics Operative role are:

* Perform goods-in duties, including unloading vehicles, checking and unpacking deliveries, and completing accurate data entry across multiple systems

* Pick stock for dispatch, check inventory, and pack goods ready for shipping

* Asset-tag new stock prior to storage in the warehouse

* Move and transfer stock within and between warehouses, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded

* Maintain tidiness and organisation across the warehouse

* Assist drivers with on-site collections, deliveries, and asset management

* Complete regular inventory stock checks to ensure stock integrity

* Assist with waste and recycling operations, including WEEE equipment

* Escalate operational issues to management promptly

* Support the team to maintain an efficient workflow

* Undertake ad-hoc tasks as requested

Skills required for the Logistics role are:

* Current, clean manual driving licence (essential)

* Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office

* Excellent written and verbal communication

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Knowledge of health and safety in warehouse environments

* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy at speed

* Able to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively

* Flexible and willing to undertake a wide range of duties

* Understanding of stock movement, warehousing, logistics, and shipping
