General Practice Nurse

Location : GP Surgery, Preston

Part-Time or Full-Time - 9-Month Fixed Term Contract (January 2026 start)

Option to work 36 hours over 4 days

Salary : £23 per hour / approx. £43,000 per annum (Band 6 equivalent, pro rata)

Main duties of the job

What You'll Be Doing :

• Chronic disease management : diabetes, asthma, hypertension
• Immunisations and travel health
• Cervical cytology
• Wound care, leg ulcer dressings, compression and suture removal

Health promotion and lifestyle support

Working collaboratively within a supportive, fun multidisciplinary team

About You :

• NMC Registered Nurse with recent primary care or transferable experience
• Practice Nurse experience essential; system knowledge desirable
• Excellent communication and clinical skills
• Calm, organised, and proactive
• Ready to make a real difference in patient care

Salary & Contract Details

£23 per hour

Approx. £43,000 per annum depending on hours worked

Band 6 range also available : £35,424.91 - £44,270.97 pro rata

9-month Fixed Term Contract, starting January 2026
