We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Abbey Court. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and support to our care home residents, ensuring their comfort and well‑being. • Provide high‑quality care and support to residents ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Supervise and train junior care staff, fostering their professional development.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
• Assist residents with daily living activities including mobility, bathing and meals.
• Monitor and record patients’ progress, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss resident status, clinical and care strategies.

• Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role within the care home industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Compassionate demeanour with a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of care planning and assessment procedures.
• Certification in relevant health care and safety qualifications.
• English proficiency at a level that the responsibilities of the employee can be undertaken effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.
