A well‑established construction and plumbing contractor is seeking an experienced and detail‑driven Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced project environment and has strong knowledge of BOQs, costing, tender processes, and contract administration.

• Prepare BOQs, estimates, and detailed costings for plumbing and construction projects
• Conduct material take‑offs from drawings and technical specifications
• Assist with tender submissions, pricing schedules, and RFQs
• Track project costs, variations, progress claims, and retentions
• Monitor budgets, cash flow forecasts, and cost control measures
• Evaluate subcontractor quotes and compile comparison sheets
• Prepare valuations and payment certificates
• Review contracts and ensure compliance
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Maintain accurate financial and project documentation
• Identify and report potential cost risks and opportunities

• (Construction / Plumbing environment strongly preferred)
• 5–7+ years Quantity Surveying experience
• Strong understanding of plumbing materials, installations & construction processes
• Proficient in Excel, costing tools, and measurement software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects
• Must have traceable references
• Must be based in Gauteng
• Valid South African  valid work permit

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills
• Professional, reliable, and proactive
• Able to work independently and in a project team
