Siemens Control Engineer – Pretoria & International Projects.

A national (Control, Automation & Instrumentation) project market leader (Pretoria Head Office) seeks to permanently employ a Siemens Control Engineer for local, national and international travel (Projects).

Your main responsibility as a Siemens Control Engineer, would be to provide Electrical & Instrumentation support in the project department ensuring smooth transitions from design to construction within the required time frames and budget constraints.

Assist Project Engineering Department, where required, to evaluate existing installations and recommend improvements or alternatives to enable expansion or improved utilization of equipment.

Industry: Process Equipment / Concentrator Plant Equipment: (Mills, Thickeners, Flotation Cells, Crushers).

Salary: R50 000 – R70 000 per month.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid passport.
• Willing to travel local and international (Be away from home for periods up-to 3 months at a time)
• Experience with the following Concentrator Plant Equipment:
  Mills, Thickeners, Flotation Cells, Crushers

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Your main responsibility as a SIEMENS CONTROL ENGINEER, would be to provide Electrical & Instrumentation support in the project department ensuring smooth transitions from design to construction within the required time frames and budget constraints.
• Development of Control Systems.
• Assist the Engineering Department, where required, to evaluate existing installations and recommend improvements or alternatives to enable expansion or improved utilization of equipment.
• Check contractor designs and drawings.
• Developing of the required technical project documentation.
• Installation and Commissioning of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems for process plants and equipment.
• Performing internal tests and customer acceptance tests of the configured MCC and control systems in-house and at customer sites.
• Providing commissioning and start-up support at customer sites.
• Providing after sales service and training at customer sites.
• Providing technical support.
• Writing reports and documentation.
• Undertaking relevant research.
• Represent the company in meetings with customers.
• Assist the sales organization in demonstrations, presentations, and engineering estimates.
