Job Description
- Develop, test, and optimise automation and control systems in a research environment.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot-scale testing of automated processes.
- Analyse system performance data and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering teams.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and test reports.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in automation, control systems, or industrial engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and industrial communication protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with system testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Masters degree (MEng / MSc) in Automation, Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechatronic, or Control Engineering essential.
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
