Retail Sales Manager

Job Title:

Retail Sales Manager (Pretoria)

The successful candidate will be based on the Sales Floor and is the front line. She/he is responsible for providing innovative and impactful business initiatives to increase trade in our retail store. This will involve, on a day to day basis, managing staff, finding new ways to improve sales and meeting customer demands.

This individual will play a key role in strengthening brand awareness in the area. She/he is expected to be a detail-oriented individual, with a positive- hands on “can do” attitude and the ability to work in a team environment.

Requirements

Allocating Sales Targets and ensuring that they are achieved

Ensure staff always deliver excellent customer service

Adhering to Merchandising Standards

Manage staff effectively. Inspire, motivate and develop your staff compliment to drive sales and excellent work performance

Maintain work procedures and hold staff accountable should standards not be met

Be responsible for the day-to-day running of operations and sales.

Provide daily reporting on sales to staff and management.

Ensure that all employees have on-going training and development, including excellent product knowledge.

Requirements and Skills:

Matric Senior Certificate

Good Computer Skills (Excel, Email)

Effective communication at all levels in both English and Afrikaans

Have a proven record of exceeding sales targets, and at least 5 years previous management experience

The ability to establish good working relationships and work well in a team

Valid Driver’s License and own transport.

Must be able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
