Job Description: Provides assessments, treatments, referrals and case management of individuals, couples, groups and families who experience mental health problems and/or addictions problems. Provides professional consultation and collaborative support as an interdisciplinary team member. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

• Intermediate – Counseling skills

• Ability to engage in community program consultation.
• Knowledge of current trends/issues/best practice strategies.
• Knowledge in individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods.
• Knowledge in family violence, trauma, loss and grief, addiction, and poverty.
• Knowledge in local human service organizations, resources, referral procedures.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm.
• Knowledge in human development and family dynamics.
• Knowledge of community programs/services.

• Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body.
