The University Hospital of Northern British Columbia is seeking a full-time Urologist to provide regional services to Northern BC. We are recruiting a full-time Associate credentialed staff position (1.0 FTE). The successful applicant will work with the current urology division members in providing comprehensive urologic care to the community, with a referral base within the Northern Health Authority of British Columbia (approximately 350,000–400,000 population).

On-call commitment includes extended regional coverage within the Northern Health Authority. There is also the opportunity to provide regional care through visiting specialists clinics in outlying communities within the health authority.
Responsibilities and Resources   Provide comprehensive urologic care to the community within the Northern Health Authority.
Collaborate with current urology division members.
Share hospital resources (OR time, cystoscopy time, ambulatory care time) equitably among all attending urologists in the group.
Support on-call coverage across the region.
Participate in regional care through visiting specialists clinics in outlying communities within the health authority.
Location and Community  Located in central BC, Prince George offers cultural, educational and recreational amenities, affordable housing and short commutes. The lakes, forests and mountains of northern and central BC provide an exceptional living and working environment. Prince George is home to the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and the College of New Caledonia, both offering educational opportunities. UNBC is ranked highly among undergrad institutions.
The UBC Northern Medical program in Prince George was established in 2004 to address physician numbers and rural medical access; the program graduates 32 medical students and trains several residents each year.
