Academic Psychiatrist – Northern Health, Prince George  Northern Health is seeking an Academic Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry in Prince George. We welcome all interested candidates, including new in practice physicians and those holding a provisional license.
Key Clinical Opportunities   Provide Adult General Psychiatry services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Participate in the COAST team, serving individuals with severe persistent mental illnesses such as psychotic disorders and bipolar disorders.
Participate in the CAST team, serving individuals with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and personality disorders.
Deliver Telehealth services to support rural and remote communities or travel to rural communities as needed.
Assume mandatory on‑call responsibility for UHNBC psychiatry services.
Academic and Teaching Responsibilities   Collaborate with the UBC Faculty of Medicine Northern Medical Program on training of medical students and residents.
Apply for a clinical appointment and participate in educational initiatives for the UHNBC teaching center.
Administrative Duties   Attend clinical team meetings and Department of Psychiatry meetings.
Qualifications   Academic Psychiatrist with a current or provisional license.
Interest in ECT and/or neurostimulation is an asset.
Ability to work full‑time and/or part‑time.
