The Opportunity
The primary role of this position will be maintaining rotating equipment and will support other disciplines at the Prince George Refinery and Renewable Diesel Facility. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is executed in a timely, safe, and effective manner consistent with corporate and site-specific policies, procedures and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities Install, repair, overhaul and maintain rotating equipment, such as compressors, pumps, tank mixers and overhead hoists in an active industrial facility or in repair shops.Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, inspections, and investigating breakdowns.Collect and analyze condition monitoring data (e.g., vibration analysis).Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, and then formulate and implement short- and long-term solutions.Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to guidelines and regulations.Assist with other equipment repairs and special project execution.This position may require working outside the scheduled shift and is driven by plant requirements.Support the Supervisor in the development and implementation of short- and long-term maintenance programs and standards.Work with other disciplines as required.Ideal Candidate
Certified as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) under the Inter-provincial Red Seal program.A strong background in rotating equipment and specifically installation and maintenance of mechanical seals.Experience with Vibration Analysis Level I or greater would be an asset.Experience with Laser Alignment techniques.Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.Valid class 5 driver’s license.A good understanding of Maintenance practices and equipment in general.Experience with computerized maintenance work management systems (Maximo, SAP, or similar).Experience in day-to-day maintenance and reliability in an industrial environment.Employee BenefitsTidewater offers a comprehensive benefit program including health, dental and medical coverage, paramedical services, a healthcare spending account and an Employee and Family Assistance Program.
