Welder

As a Welder you will set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment. You will repair and maintain metal equipment and structures of various sizes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in a safe manner at a high production rate
• Rigging and hoisting with overhead crane
• Fix and rewire welding machines (wire rolls weigh 40lbs)
• Lift and hold 50lbs and be able to set it down gently
• Stand for 8-10 hours
• Climb up and down equipment to fit parts or to weld parts sometimes one handed
• MIG weld: dual shield flux core 0.45 (95%) hard wire 0.35 (5%)
• Be able to read and interpret blueprints

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 rd year apprentice Red Seal
• Strong capacity for teamwork
• Demonstrate initiative and autonomy
