CASUAL Labourer; To Garner

Job Summary

This posting is to garner applications for our Casual On Call pool for Facilities Services Labourer to support our Maintenance Team. While this posting will collect applications until March 31, 2026, applicant(s) will be called to suit needs as they arise, and the term of work is not guaranteed.

Specific Duties

• Under supervision, perform a variety of tasks throughout the College such as moving furniture, supplies and clean-up as required.
• Various physical tasks such as digging, placing concrete, grounds clean-up etc.
• Assist Facilities Staff with the maintenance of grounds and buildings.
• Assist with cutting lawns, trimming and weed control.
• Assist with planting and maintenance of flower beds, shrubs and trees.
• Operation of various types of grounds and maintenance tools and equipment.
• Must carry a two way radio.
• You will be part of a team actively engaged in contributing to and accomplishing the vision, mission, and goals of the College and in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners.
• Promote a positive work atmosphere and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
• Other related duties as assigned by Facilities Services Manager or Designate.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must have Level 1 Occupational First Aid ticket.
• Ability to follow directions and work well under supervision.
• Some knowledge of grounds and maintenance tasks an asset.
• Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to interact with others.
• Good knowledge of safety procedures.

Salary $27.65 per hour, Location Prince George, BC, Canada. Shiftwork and/or some regional travel may be required. Number of Hours per week 0-35.
