** Project Manager Spectrum Resource Group (SRG), a business unit of Wright Canada Holdings, Spectrum Resource Group is an integrated vegetation management (IVM) solutions provider with expertise in vegetation management, forest management, and reforestation. We provide these services to federal, provincial, regional, local and Indigenous governments, to the forestry, energy, mines, petroleum, transportation and utility sectors, and to numerous regional invasive species organizations across Canada.

* Pay rate of $24.33- $34.04 per hour based on experience and education.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Assist in creating project plans, timelines, and schedules for the full life cycle of the projects and contracts assigned to you under the Invasive Vegetation Management service stream.
* Coordinate with various teams to ensure resources are allocated correctly and project deadlines are met.
* Ensure all teams are staffed effectively, including hiring, on-boarding, training, and performance managing individuals as required.
* Assist in the allocation of resources, ensuring the right people and tools are available for each project phase.
* Help monitor project budgets and expenditures.
* Identify potential risks and issues affecting the project.
* Collaborate with the project manager to develop mitigation strategies and escalate concerns as needed.
* Ensure that the project's deliverables meet the required standards and quality.
* Maintain detailed project documentation including project plans, meeting notes, budgets, and timelines.
* Ensure that staff are trained in all aspects of their roles, are maintaining the appropriate trainings including provincial herbicide licenses, and are able to carry  out responsibilities safely and effectively.
* Support the project manager in the closing phase by compiling final reports, conducting post-project reviews, and ensuring that all documentation is completed and stored.
* Other duties as required.
** Experience and Knowledge Expectations:
*** 3-4 years’ experience in an Integrated Vegetation Management role.
* A Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Natural Resources, Forestry or Environmental Science would be considered an asset.
* Ability to identify invasive plants is considered an asset.
* B.C Pesticide Applicator Certification (5 year), or provincial equivalent.
* Ability to identify invasive plants is considered an asset.
* Valid 5 BC Class 5 Driver’s License and a current Driver’s Abstract.
* Experience driving pick-up trucks pulling ball-hitch trailers, ATVs, or other offroad vehicles.
* Previous experience in compliance and implementation of safety standards.
* Strong proficiency in using a chainsaw (preferred)
* Able to work outside and in varied weather conditions.
* Physically fit to work and walk in a rough terrain area.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* The ability to work away from home for scheduled periods of time.
* B.C.  Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification, or equivalent, is considered an asset.
* Pre-employment drug testing required for safety sensitive positions.
