In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Registered Nurse practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient and family centered care model.

The Registered Nurse - Perinatal, working collaboratively with the inter‑professional team, plans and provides direct patient care to obstetrical patients during the intra, postpartum and high‑risk antepartum periods and other assigned patients by assessing, planning, providing and evaluating nursing care. The Registered Nurse demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

Days, Nights, 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 (rotating)

Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is a 30‑bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Completion of a recognized Perinatal Nursing specialty program.
• One (1) year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate.
