We are seeking Container Terminal Security Officers will work alongside other port‑related and logistics services. This position requires strong situational awareness, adherence to strict protocols, and a commitment to confidentiality and safety.

• Anticipating and addressing inquiries, hazards, obstacles, and traffic concerns
• Static and mobile patrolling the facility regularly
• Ensuring authorized entry to secure areas only
• Writing detailed incident reports
• Complying with the Marine Transportation Security Regulations
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to maintain site integrity and security
• Monitor CCTV, access control systems, and alarm panels
• Enforce site regulations and ensure compliance with security procedures
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
• Complete accurate and detailed incident and activity reports
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional presence at all times
• Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services as required

• Have been in Canada in the last 5 consecutive years
• Have a valid BC security license
• Have Basic First Aid or be willing to obtain it
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
• Have a valid Transport Security Clearance or willing to obtain
• Security officers are subject to thorough background checks and security clearances, in addition to carrying a valid Security License

• Have strong communication skills
• Good problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, including working under pressure
• Discretion when handling confidential and private information
• Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time

Please note that applicants seeking employment at the terminal must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance as identified by the Marine Transportation Security Clearance Program.
