CNC Operator

Position: CNC Operator (Permanent)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and growing Engineering company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for CNC machine operation and minding within a small but busy machine shop environment. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and calibrating machines, performing routine maintenance, monitoring the production process, adhering to quality control standards, and troubleshooting equipment as needed.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols and collaboration with the engineering and production teams to ensure efficient workflow.

As a CNC Machine Setter / Operator, duties will include:

* Setting and Operation of CNC machinery in accordance with accurate specifications ensuring that components are produced correct to drawing and delivered on time

* To understand priorities and to work towards achieving delivery objectives

* To always adhere to company procedures

* To always maintain a high level of housekeeping

* Maintaining a high standard of Health & Safety in general and with particular attention to the immediate work area, reporting any concerns to the line manager

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

* A good basic standard of education is required with an engineering bias

* Good practical skills

* Comfortable working to deadlines

* Should have a strong team work ethic, with the ability to work unsupervised

* Ability to read engineering drawings and instructions

* Able to take instruction and complete those with a high attention to detail

Preferred but not Essential Skills and Knowledge:

* Experience of CNC operation and production engineering (Training will be given on the companies’ machines and products)

* Previous experience in the electrical or industrial control sector is an advantage Relevant certifications and/or vocational qualifications in CNC machining or a related field

* MS Office - Beginner - Intermediate

What’s on offer:

* Full time 40.5 Hour Week (Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3pm)

* 22 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays
