Role Overview
We’re seeking a  talented, production-tested 3D Animator  to craft expressive, gameplay-ready animations that feel great on mobile. You’ll own animation quality for characters and props, collaborate closely with Art, Design, and Engineering, and ensure smooth integration in  Unity . You’re equally comfortable with acting choices and with the technical details that make animations read clearly and run efficiently on the device.

What You’ll Do
Own animation quality  for assigned characters/creatures/props—from blocking to polish and in-engine integration.
Tell clear, readable stories  through performance, posing, timing, and silhouette—optimized for small screens.
Plan shots and systems:  create reference, previs/blocking, iterate based on playtest feedback, and maintain consistency with style guides.
Integrate in-engine:  set up state machines/blend trees, root motion, transitions, IK, and events; troubleshoot import/export.
Optimize for mobile:  manage key density, curve cleanup, clip length, memory footprint, and runtime performance.
Collaborate and lead by influence:  partner with Tech Art and Engineering to resolve rig/retarget issues; present in dailies, give/receive actionable feedback.
Pipeline stewardship:  document best practices; help improve tools, checklists, and naming conventions.
(Senior)  Mentor juniors, review reels/shots, and help maintain the bar for animation quality across the project.
Must-Have Qualifications
3–6+ years  of professional 3D character animation experience in games (mobile experience strongly preferred).
Expert grasp  of animation principles and  body mechanics  (weight, balance, timing, overlap).
Strong DCC skills:  Autodesk  Max/Blender.
Game engine fluency:
Unity  (anim blueprints/state machines, blend spaces, root motion, notifies/events).
Technical savvy:  retargeting, FBX pipelines, naming standards, version control basics, and troubleshooting broken rigs/exports.
Cinematic sense:  camera, lensing, staging, and composition to support gameplay readability.
Communication & ownership:  clear written/verbal communication, comfort presenting WIP, and on-time delivery.
Nice-to-Haves
Rigging familiarity  (fixing minor skin/weights, constraints, corrective shapes).
Creature/vehicle  animation, combat loops, hit reactions, traversal, and locomotion sets.
Mocap  cleanup and  AI-assisted  workflows (e.g., reference generation, pose suggestion, curve cleanup) are used judiciously for speed without sacrificing quality.

Experience with  procedural systems , physics-based secondary motion, or runtime IK.
Portfolio Requirements (Mandatory)
Reel link  showcasing game-ready work: acting shots, locomotion sets, combat loops, cycles, and at least one  engine-integrated  example (Unity/Unreal capture preferred).
Shot breakdowns: your role, tools used, rig/source ownership, and specific contributions.
Bonus: before/after optimization examples (curve cleanup, key reduction, performance gains).
