The full pay range is $75,700–$126,200 per year.
Scope of JobUnder the direction of the Senior Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability Manager, the SSEDD Consultant is responsible for the day‑to‑day activities related to the implementation of EDF Power Solutions’ health, safety, environment and sustainability programs. The consultant guarantees a healthy and safe working environment in compliance with company, legal and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Site Visits
- Conduct site visits in Quebec to support employees, subcontractors and suppliers in meeting health and safety requirements.
- Identify systemic trends and collaborate with Operations Managers to prioritize actions.
- Develop strategies for corrective actions and provide high‑level professional advice to field teams.
- Report and communicate SSEDD metrics and trends to senior management.
- Support ongoing projects led by the SSEDD Canada team for program development and implementation.
- Other related tasks as assigned.
- Graduate diploma in health and safety or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of practical health and safety experience.
- Experience in wind power plant operation is an asset.
- Knowledge of Quebec health and safety legal requirements.
- Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills.
- Analytical and report‑writing abilities at a technical level.
- Valid driver’s licence with good record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- English language proficiency is an asset.
- Ability to work at heights, including raising and lowering wind turbines.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (cold, rain, wind).
- Must pass initial medical fitness and ascent training assessments.
