Job OverviewTechnicien(ne)-surveillant(e) de chantier – génie civil – infrastructures minières – site minier au Nord de Québec (Côte-Nord, Abitibi, etc.)
Job Description- Contract role starting 1 May 2026, ending 1 November 2026; extensions possible.
- Responsible for site supervision and quality control of civil engineering works involving heavy machinery.
- Conduct material sampling, in situ density tests with Nucleodensimeter, fresh concrete testing, lab analyses (grain size, Proctor, water content, sedimentation).
- Prepare daily progress reports and support engineering teams on site.
- Assist in planning, track plans and sheets, promote safety and company values.
- Perform civil engineering work surveillance with heavy machinery.
- Control material quality and sampling.
- Conduct on‑site density and concrete tests.
- Sample during drilling operations.
- Optional packing tests considered an asset.
- Carry out lab tests as needed.
- Write daily progress reports.
- Provide daily support to field engineering teams.
- Assist in work planning.
- Track plans and drawings.
- Promote company values and safety.
- Support safety culture within the team.
- Diploma in civil engineering (AEC, DEC or equivalent).
- Construction site experience.
- Willingness to work in remote areas.
- Valid driver’s licence for company vehicles.
- Capacity to lift 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Self‑reliant, resourceful and team‑spirit.
- Interest in fast‑changing outdoor work and variable weather.
- Availability for 14‑day on‑site/14‑day off cycle (FIFO).
- Strong written and spoken French (mandatory).
- Strong written and spoken English (asset).
- ASP Construction Card.
- Valid Quebec driver’s licence.
